The Allen-Bradley 2711-M3A18L1 panel is one of the PanelView Standard 300 Micro Terminal series. This panel is one of the more compact of the series and provides a small 73 by 42 millimeters display with a 128 by 64 pixels resolution. The display is monochromatic with LED backlight that can last up to 100,000 hours. The model has 4 function key buttons (ranging from F1 to F4), against the 8 buttons of the panels from the 300 Terminal series. Its size is definitely more compact with an height lower than 4.5 inches. The panel has a RS-232 (DF1) 8-pin mini-DIN port that can be used either for communication with a PLC and for printing. With PanelBuilder32 the user can develop, download, maintain and modify the terminal applications. With a simple GUI, PanelBuilder32 will speed up development and will provide many easy tools such as import, export of graphical and functional objects and cut, copy and paste of any element on the application. The terminal should only be installed in locations in accordance to IEC-1131-2 pollution degree 2 protection meaning that non-conductive pollution will occur only. The enclosure of the panel can be NEMA type 12, 13 or 4X (only for indoor use) with protection grade IP54 or IP65. There are two LEDs on the back of the panel that will provide the user some feedback on the communication (green) and faults (red) of the system. The panel will work correctly if maintained at an height below 2000 meters (6561 feet).
